Michael Ford (100m/200m Presenter)
Head Coach | Baylor University | Team USA Olympic Coach Coach Michael Ford has built a legacy of excellence in over a decade of coaching at his alma mater, Baylor University, mentoring numerous NCAA All-Americans and national champions. His coaching résumé includes guiding six-time All-American Matthew Moorer, three-time All-American Howard Fields III, two-time All-American Maxwell Willis, and first-time All-American Ryan Croson. He’s also shaped the careers of elite athletes like four-time All-American Kiana Horton, two-time NCAA champion Trayvon Bromell, and five-time All-American hurdler Tiffani McReynolds.
In 2024, Ford was appointed Men’s Sprints/Hurdles Coach for Team USA at the Olympic Games in Paris, where his squad delivered an astounding 10 medals—five gold—contributing to Team USA Track & Field’s total of 34 medals.
With a proven track record of producing champions on both the collegiate and world stage, Coach Ford brings unparalleled expertise and insight to the next generation of track and field leaders.
David Oliver (Short Hurdle/Long Hurdle Presenter) Director of Track & Field, Howard University | Hurdles & Sprints Specialist
A world-class hurdler turned championship-winning coach, David Oliver is redefining excellence at Howard University. Entering his latest season at the helm, Oliver is fresh off capturing his fourth consecutive MEAC Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Championship titles, continuing a dominant run for the Bison.
In 2025, Oliver's squad showcased their depth and precision in the hurdles, completing their third podium sweep in the 400m hurdlesbehind standout performances from Arianna Smith (56.11), Aniya Woodruff (57.24), and Cenaiya Billups (58.54). Meanwhile, Marcia Sey stormed to MEAC gold in the 100m hurdles, clocking an impressive 12.84 seconds. These victories highlight a program built on technical mastery, competitive excellence, and elite-level preparation.
A Howard alumnus and one of the most decorated hurdlers in U.S. history, Oliver brings an unparalleled resume to his coaching: 2008 Olympic Bronze Medalist, 2013 World Championin the 110m hurdles, 11-time World Top-10 ranked hurdler, and recipient of the 2010 Jesse Owens Award, given to the USA’s Most Outstanding Track Athlete. His legacy also includes indoor success, with a gold medal at the 2008 USA Indoor Championships and bronze at the 2010 World Indoor Championships.
As a two-time NCAA All-Americanduring his own time at Howard, Oliver’s return to his alma mater has been transformational. His athletes have earned multiple All-American honors, and his leadership has brought national recognition back to the storied HBCU track program. Known for his energy, vision, and commitment to developing both the athlete and the individual, Oliver continues to set the standard for excellence in collegiate coaching.
Chris Woods (400m/800m Presenter)
Head Track & Field Coach | Mississippi State University | International Championship Coach Coach Chris Woods has spent his career building champions on the NCAA, World, and Olympic stages. At Mississippi State University, Woods has developed record-breaking athletes and guided them to national and international success.
In 2014, he coached Brandon McBride to both NCAA Indoor and Outdoor titles in the 800m, later adding an SEC championship in 2016. His 4x400m relay squads consistently thrived, including a third-place SEC finish that same year. By 2017, he was breaking barriers with the women’s indoor distance medley relay school record, and in 2015, he led the women’s indoor 4x400m relay to a new program best.
In 2018, Woods guided Marco Arop to an NCAA Outdoor runner-up finish in the 800m, and Ro’Derick Spearsto a school-record 13.65 in the 110m hurdles. That year, Spears, Herbert Wise III, Willie-Lionel Reed, and Charles Brockman III broke the shuttle hurdle relay record twice. Arop went on to dominate the international stage—winning gold at the Pan American Games, advancing to the World Championships finals, and eventually becoming World Champion in the 800m.
On the global stage, Woods’ expertise has reached Olympic heights. In his second Olympics as an assistant coach for Team Canada, he guided Arop to a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Games, with four other Bulldogs qualifying for their respective countries. At the 2023 World Athletics Championships, his athletes delivered, including Arop’s 800m gold for Canada.
From NCAA titles to Olympic podiums, Coach Woods is a proven architect of elite performance and championship culture.
Austin Davis (Long Jump/Triple Jump Presenter) Assistant Coach, University of Oklahoma | Jumps Specialist
Now in his seventh season with the University of Oklahoma, Austin Davis leads the Sooners’ horizontal jumps program with over 13 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level. Since arriving in Norman in 2019, Davis has built one of the nation’s premier jumps units—producing 8 conference champions, 28 All-Americans, and over 57 All-Conference performers.
His 2025 campaign was one for the record books: Davis coached Agur Dwol to the NCAA Indoor title in the women’s triple jump—the first in program history—and guided BJ Green and Floyd Whitaker to a historic 1-2 finish in the men’s triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. On the professional stage, he helped Dwol to a runner-up finish at the USA Championships and a berth at the 2025 World Championships.
Davis’ athletes are no strangers to the national spotlight, with standouts like BJ Green, Nikaoli Williams, Floyd Whitaker, and Jasmine Akins earning NCAA podium finishes, school records, and international team selections. Under his leadership, OU’s jumps program has consistently ranked among the top in the country and continues to raise the bar year after year.
A former ACC Champion and two-time NCAA All-American, Davis combines elite-level competitive experience with a relationship-driven coaching philosophy. He holds a USATF Level 2 certification in jumps and is a USTFCCCA-certified strength & conditioning coach.
Terry Hughes (Javelin Throw Presenter)
Assistant Coach – Throws | Texas Christian University
Coach Terry Hughes quickly established himself as one of the premier throws’ coaches in collegiate track and field, producing record-breaking performances and guiding athletes to success on NCAA, conference, and international stages.
In 2024, Hughes led TCU’s javelin duo to the NCAA Championships. Freshman Irene Jepkemboibecame TCU’s first-ever All-American in women’s javelin, placing 4th at NCAAs with a throw of 56.51m (185-4) and winning the Big 12 Championship. Maria Bienvenu earned Honorable Mention All-America honors after placing 17th at nationals, while in the discus, Samantha Callawaymedaled at Big 12s for the second year in a row.
The 2025 season elevated Hughes’ reputation even further. Jepkemboi set a school record and Kenyan National Record with a throw of 60.31m (197-10) to finish 3rd at the NCAA Outdoor Championshipsand repeat as Big 12 champion. Bienvenu improved to 3rd at the Big 12 Championships and returned to NCAAs for Second Team All-America honors.
On the men’s side, freshman Preston Kuznofdelivered a breakout season—setting the school javelin record at 75.10m (246-5), winning the Big 12 title, qualifying for NCAAs, and earning USATF U20 National Championhonors.
With a proven ability to develop elite athletes from the freshman level to the world stage, Coach Hughes continues to raise the standard for throws excellence at TCU and beyond.
Marcus Brown (Discus/Shot Put Presenter)
Assistant Coach – Throws | University of North Texas
In his first year at North Texas, Coach Marcus Brown’s throws squad delivered an impressive eight school record performances and quickly established themselves as one of the top groups in the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
Brown guided five athletes to AAC All-Conference honors, including KeAyla Dove, who won the AAC Indoor Shot Put title and went on to earn Second Team All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Outdoors, his men’s javelin group ranked as high as No. 14 nationally in the USTFCCCA Event Rankings, led by Zion Hill and AAC bronze medalist Akeel Hanchard.
His coaching success extended across multiple events, developing three newcomers to podium finishes: freshman Ava Roberts (All-AAC honors in indoor and outdoor shot put), Bolaji Subair (Discus runner-up), and Fabrienne Foster(Weight Throw runner-up). Javelin thrower Mackenzie Kuehlimproved her personal best by over four meters, placing third at the AAC Championships and qualifying for her first NCAA Regional meet.
A proven winner, Brown has coached 26 MEAC Championship performances throughout his career, producing champions and record-breakers while building competitive, well-rounded throws programs.
